The Founder of Team Tako, Comrade Tako Oshoghene Daniel, popularly known as the Mayor of Udu, has described the conferment of chieftaincy titles on Dr. Ejiro Imuere and his wife by the Orosuen of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom as well deserved.
Tako made the remark while speaking with The Urhobo Voice during the third coronation anniversary celebration of His Royal Majesty, Ogheneochuko Morris Eyekpimi (Egbobonyen), Owhotemu I, held at the monarch’s palace in Okere-Urhobo Kingdom.
He lauded the monarch for his peaceful disposition and commitment to unity, describing him as a pillar of peace whose leadership continues to promote harmony and cultural pride within the kingdom.
According to Tako, Dr. Imuere has remained steadfast in championing the cause of the Urhobo people, noting that the conferment of the titles of Otomo and Aboro of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom on him and his wife would further spur them to greater service.
He emphasized that the honour was a product of careful observation by the monarch, who recognized the contributions and dedication of the recipients.
“If someone is doing well in any position, you must encourage and honour such a person. I am excited that Imuere and his wife were honoured during the third coronation anniversary of our great King. Honour is given to whom honour is due,” Tako stated.
The Team Tako founder further described Dr. Imuere as a strong advocate of Urhobo culture and tradition, noting his deep understanding of issues affecting the Urhobo nation.
He called on others to emulate Imuere’s commitment and passion, stressing that such qualities are essential for the socio-economic and political advancement of Urhoboland.
Tako also commended the Ovie of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom for recognizing excellence and rewarding dedication, adding that the gesture would inspire others to contribute meaningfully to the development of the kingdom.
